Lampedusa News
A little submarine, a little boat ... and all "Nemo-Sub".
He arrived, a few days ago, on the island of Lampedusa, to allow everyone, but everyone to get to know the spectacular underwater world of Lampedusa.
His "self-confident look and smile" is the premise of a fun and exciting tour. Immersed in the silence of the clear and uncontaminated waters of this island one step away from Africa and a few more steps from Italy.
The seabed of Lampedusa, rich in fauna and marine flora, has always been a destination for scuba divers from all over the world, giving endless emotions and indescribable sensations.
On the upper floor, remaining above sea level, of our friendly "Charon-sub water", you can admire the unique scenery of the coast of this strip of African land, which lies proud and imposing in the waters of the Mediterranean. The characteristic of the variety of its creeks, the "Calette" never tires of surprising .. sensations ... moments of endless ecstasy .
Going down to the lower level of our "Caronte-sub", we "immerse" ourselves in the fantastic underwater world of the island of Lampedusa.
Starting from MADONNA DEI FONDALI ... In front of the Rabbit Island, there is a colored and colonized submerged arch.
Rich in orange madrepores and colorful sponges, home to many little guests: white-tufted worms, red shrimps and bare shoals, with a minimum of attention and an "eye" you can see the burrows of scorpion fish and moray eels,
A little further on, the Madonna appears (in the true sense of the word). This very beautiful life-size statue depicts the Madonna and her child. The legend tells of a young passionate photographer, who after having miraculously saved himself from a dangerous "adventure", donates this Madonna as a symbol of devotion and gratitude. Located at a depth of 14 m.
Continuing the tour to the north, a few "steps" from Capo Ponente, one crosses one of the richest fauna and flora stretches, to then remain fascinating from the "wreck of a sunken ship during World War II". Become a real hotel for the many fish that stay there .
But our "Caronte-sub" not tired continues the tour, crosses all the depths leaving you with the "breath suspended" .. (I recommend you do not forget to breathe!).
-Punta Cappellone, to the north of the island in the most intense blue, where silhouettes of large solitary tuna fish and herds of amberjack hunt undisturbed.
